"“Moranera is a
woman with long raven-black hair…she is mysterious and sensual,
she is energetic and warm, she is joyful and passionate”.
Curiosity pushed us to follow Mediterranean winds allowed us to
meet many people with whom we share values and sensitivity for people
and cultures of the South of the world. They are musicians, dancers…men
and women with a sincere heart who helped us believe.
Their collaboration is an integral part of our
project…is friendship

ALBERTO ZAPPA: Alberto
Zappa is the anti-global solution of the
band’s needs to promote themselves.
He leads the band with self-confidence
through the music market’s dangers
and takes his mates to perform in
important shows without the help of
any questionable manager. Alberto
took part of the band on March 2000
playing with his clarinet tunes of
the Balkan area and Yiddish.
To find him you just
need to spread the rumour something is
coming out and you’ll get a buzz
in a few days...

BEPPE RONZONI |
BEPPE
RONZONI: Bebbe Ronzoni, big master of the
South Sahara polyrhythmic culture,
often collaborated in live concerts with Moranera. His precious
contribution has been significant even during the arrangement phase
of some of the tracks of the Mediterraneo CD. Beppe has a past that
goes from Jazz to ethnic-popular music.
He found himself at home in the musical atmosphere of Moranera.
It gave him the chance to express his knowledge of African and seducing
Caribbean rhythms, during enthusiastic live performance.
Beppe had the chance to perfect his awesome technical and artistic
skills during his stay in Africa and South America.
Nowadays he lives in Lisbon, Portugal, but when he comes back to
Italy he doesn’t miss the chance to play in Moranera’s
concerts.

SIRABÀ DENW':
When Moranera met Siraba Denw African tribe there was no need to
tell each other what it had to be done. Siraba Denw is a heterogeneous
group of West Africa traditional percussion and dance, and represents
how Mediterranean cultures can meet and fuse together. A collaboration
resulted natural because of the strong affinity with Moranera.

ANDREA TRAPASSO:
Moranera is also a CD registration is a traumatic event for those
who are used to play feeling the audience’s emotions. Even
more for those who look for the strong tonality of the different
popular tradition in music. For Moranera it’s been possible
to register only in Andrea’s studio: www.artesuono.it
Andrea, with his professionality and availability, has
been able to draw the ethnic element, which are so important in
our music, from our raw and untied sound.

BIRI: took care of the
graphic realisation of the CD. Biri’s competence, advice,
and,
most of all, patience allowed Mediterraneo to get an aesthetic
result that everybody
recognised and appreciated.
